Non-cash Gifts

For decades, TFC Global has benefited from the generosity of people who remembered this important ministry in their legacy giving. Such support is crucial to us and is greatly appreciated.

TFC Global is a nonprofit organization that has been given a 501C3 status by the Internal Revenue Service, meaning all monetary contributions to the ministry are tax-deductible. There are many options when giving to the ministry; some may better suit your unique financial profile and goals than others. Below you will find alternatives to consider.

Savings, Stocks, Mutual Funds & Other Securities
When you donate stocks, mutual funds and/or other securities to TFC Global, you receive a tax deduction for the full fair market value, and you avoid paying capital gains taxes. This allows you to give a greater amount to the ministry and, therefore, receive a greater tax deduction.

Unneeded Life Insurance
Gifting an unneeded life insurance policy is another great way to give that has some surprising benefits. Certain policies allow you to leverage your investment to yield a great gift to TFC Global, provide tax deductions and reduce the estate tax burden on your family while avoiding the taxes associated with simply canceling such a policy.

Life Insurance Beneficiary
Naming TFC Global as the beneficiary or adding the ministry as an additional beneficiary of your life insurance policy is an easy way to impact future generations. Simply request a Change of Beneficiary form from your insurance company and follow the instructions. We are grateful for any amount you choose to leave us.

IRA Beneficiary

When you make TFC Global the beneficiary of your retirement account, whether in part or in whole, you increase the impact of your gift because the ministry does not have to pay taxes on your donation. At the same time, you decrease the estate tax burden on your family, effectively increasing the amount of your estate.

Use your Required Minimum Distribution for Charitable Giving
If you are over the age of 70 1/2, the government requires you to make annual distributions from your IRA, this is called a required minimum distribution, RMD. Did you know these distributions are taxable to you but may be made tax-free as long as they are directed to a 501C3 like TFC Global? This option is known as the qualified charitable distribution, QCD.

Ask Heirs to Give a Gift in Your Memory
Consider arranging with your heirs for one or more of them to donate a small portion of their inheritance to TFC Global in your memory. Their gift would be tax-deductible, reducing the cost to them.

Will or Trust from Estate Holdings
A will or trust is the most common way you can make a bequest to further our mission of reaching the trucking industry with Jesus Christ. You can designate a percentage of your estate, a dollar amount, or a piece of real estate.

Equipment or Property
If you have homes, land, new or used equipment, boats, trailers or tractors that could be used to support our ministry, feel free to contact the finance department at TFC Global. This is another great way to support our ministry. Equipment or vehicles need to be road-worthy or in working condition.

As you can see, there are many different ways to give to TFC Global. Please consult with your tax advisor or financial planner if you have any questions. If you are ready to support our ministry, email info@tfcglobal.org or call 717-426-9977.
