He Called His Dad

Last month I started sharing real stories of the impact TFC Global chaplains are making. A chaplain must be prepared for anything every day. The needs vary greatly, and the desire to talk to a chaplain is stronger than ever. People are seeing how empty the way of the world is. All this woke stuff and competition for levels of oppression has failed big time. When it comes to providing the answers people are searching for, they are left wanting. They are not experiencing the peace that surpasses any kind of human understanding. TFC Global chaplains are trained to handle a lot of situations. They stand ready with the power of the Holy Spirit in them to boldly be that consistent presence, calmness, and guidance people are looking for.
The first story is from a Christian driver who came to see a TFC Global chaplain for Christian fellowship and resources. Christian truck drivers have a hard time getting to a local church because of their schedules. This is why we often hear how they desire Christian fellowship and a sense of community while out on the road. Our chaplain talked with this driver, and helped him through some financial issues, using Crown Financial principles. He gave resources to the guy who took them and said he would read them all. The best part is this driver knows how to get ahold of the chaplain who helped him, no matter where he is in the country. This is an example of our chaplains’ “secret sauce” in action. Great follow-through and consistent reliability.
The second story comes from the West Coast. A driver went to see the chaplain at a location where a chapel trailer was still being used. The guy was dropping “F” bombs like they were on sale. His language in general was very harsh and rough, even for a jaded truck driver with many years on the road. Our chaplain asked him to relax on the profanity and harshness. He told the guy, “Do you know where you are?” After the driver looks around, he responds, “Oh man, is this like some kind of church or something?” The chaplain said, “Well, basically, yes”. After a long conversation with this driver, HE GETS SAVED!
He prays to repent of his sin and asks Jesus to save him. So cool! While with the chaplain the driver calls his wife and tells her, “I’m at this church for truck drivers, and you’ll never guess what I did. I just got saved!” The driver was using the speaker phone so the chaplain could hear everything his wife said. Needless to say, she was pleasantly shocked. The driver tells his wife, “I am going to call my dad.” His wife knew something was up because her husband had not talked to his father for many years. She knew this was real and very different.
This story is not over, and our chaplain will stay in touch with this driver. What a story. Real-life changed because he was struggling big time and “accidentally” walked in to see a chaplain, meeting the love of Jesus. That kind of story will never get old.
I hope this is an encouragement to you. In this world we are living in, God uses faithful servants to be His hands and feet. Please keep TFC Global chaplains in prayer. I ask you to stop right now to pray for our chaplains. They need your support and prayer so stories like these will be experienced over and over again.
