International Ministries Update – March 2025
Testimony from Lameck Tunu:
We went to a Checkmate truck gathering point with my colleagues to share Christ with the truckers. My colleagues and I approached four drivers who were standing outside their trucks. One of the trucks had a problem, so the mechanics were working on it as we started sharing Christ with them.
While my colleagues were talking to these drivers, I saw another driver switch on his truck and get ready to leave. The Holy Spirit insisted that I go and talk to him, so I moved fast and stopped him. I requested that he switch off his engine, which he did. He came down out of his truck to talk to me.
As I started sharing the word of God with him, he started sobbing. I didn’t know what was the matter, so I paused for a moment and asked him about his life and family. This is what he told me: He had been without a job for three years. As a result, his children were chased out of school. Life became tougher and tougher, so he sent his family to the rural area (out of the city), as he was unable to care for their needs. Today was his first trip as a driver after three years without a job. After he started driving on his trip, at a stopover, some thieves robbed him of 60 liters of fuel. He didn’t know what to do. He was certain he was going to lose his job because of this.
We prayed for him to keep his job and also shared the gospel. With tears, he received Christ.
After two days, he called us and said God had defended him. His employer was not angry with him; he wasn’t sacked. He was very happy talking over the phone. Glory to God! The driver shared that he has seven children. I felt led of the Lord to take the name of the second-to-last kid and decided to support her financially by the grace of God.
