human trafficking awareness

Human trafficking is the only industry in which supply and demand are the same thing: human beings.

By: Gateway to Freedom Foundation

High demand drives the high volume of supply. Increasing demand from consumers for cheap goods incentivizes corporations to demand cheap labor, often forcing those at the bottom of the supply chain to exploit workers. Secondly, increased demand for commercial sex, especially with young girls and boys incentivizes commercial sex venues including strip clubs, pornography, and prostitution to recruit and exploit children.

The more people addicted to pornography the higher the demand for commercial sex. This addiction is not only found in the trucking industry but also the homes and offices of middle-class Americans. Affecting both men and women alike, it tears families apart leaving children vulnerable to trafficking and abuse. Considering this, we have created numerous resources including our “Youth At Risk; Until All Are Free “seminar for churches and organizations as well as our three-day addiction weekend intensive for those who want to deal with their addictions. The one-day seminar is available for a very low cost- plus scholarships are available to help with the cost of the weekend intensive. Your financial gift to TFC Global can be allocated to help with the cost of these events to help those who need assistance.

Programs like these not only bolster the spiritual and moral development of families but also enable these families to sustain their essential efforts without additional financial strain. Your kingdom investment will empower numerous families with the tools they need to protect and equip their loved ones. Together, we can make a significant impact in the lives of those families who are struggling with a pornography issue.

If God is tugging on your heart to be involved in this vital program of TFC Global, here are some ways
you can help.

  • Host a Youth At Risk; Until All Are Free seminar at your church or community group.
  • Give a financial gift specifically allocated to this program by visiting TFCGlobal.org/gateway-to-freedom-foundation.
  • Pray for the people to get involved in raising support to help those trapped in human trafficking.

Remember, if we never address these issues and become proactive in resolving the addictions that fuel this problem and make people more aware of what is happening, we will never see the day when trafficking no longer exists. Parenting in the Age of Pornography

June 3, 2024/in Gateway to Freedom Foundation/by Joanna

By: Ron Fraser

I just heard of a request from a single mother courageously raising 4 boys (ages 10-17). In the middle of the daily challenges of her work, compounded by the complexities of parenting, she just caught her boys watching pornography. What she wants is to walk alongside her boys in helping them become men of godly sexual integrity. Her fervent hope is to train her boys to become men who have a solid foundation of Biblical sexuality and who honor and protect the women in their lives.

This mother along with so many others faces unique challenges and has limited access to resources that many of us take for granted.  Considering this, TFC Global has some great resources including our “Until All Are Free“ one-day seminar for churches and organizations as well as a three-day addiction weekend intensive for those who want to deal with their addictions. The one-day seminar is available for a very low cost plus scholarships are available to help with the cost of the weekend intensive. Your financial gift to TFC Global can be allocated to help with the cost of these events to help those who need assistance like this devoted mother of boys.

Programs like these not only bolster the spiritual and moral development of families but also enable these families to sustain their essential efforts without additional financial strain. Your kingdom investment will empower numerous families with the tools they need to protect and equip their family members. Together, we can make a significant impact in the lives of those families who are struggling with a pornography issue. Here are three ways you can help. One, host a Until All Are Free seminar at your church or community group. Two, give a financial gift specifically allocated to this program. And, three, pray for parents like the single mom to have supernatural wisdom and divine patience. In addition, pray for those trapped in human trafficking. The Reality of Sex Trafficking

May 21, 2024/in Gateway to Freedom Foundation/by Joanna

Gateway to Freedom Foundation

By now you are most likely aware of the sad reality of sex trafficking in the world. You’ve seen or heard countless headlines and stories, been informed of the overwhelming statistics, and know that it devastates the lives of children and young people all over the globe. You may have even heard that sex trafficking has been one of the fastest-growing crimes in the world for the past two decades. Like most people, when confronted with the reality of sex trafficking, you have responded with feelings of disgust, disbelief, and/or anger.

Now it’s time to move beyond those emotions, roll up your sleeves, and get to work combatting it. That is what the Gateway to Freedom Foundation (GTFF) is all about. Taking action to end it. As the director of GTFF, I believe combatting sex trafficking is a powerful call to action for men. God repeatedly throughout scripture calls men to “seek justice. Defend the oppressed. Take up the cause of the fatherless. Plead the case of the widow” (Isaiah 1:17). This verse, and others like it throughout scripture, make it clear that God calls men to confront injustice. Sadly, when it comes to the issue of sex trafficking today, most men have turned a blind eye. The call has fallen on deaf ears. That has to change. In fact, it makes God angry. For example, when God called Moses to go to Egypt to confront the injustice of His people, and Moses pleaded with God to send someone else, scripture says, “God’s anger burned against Moses” (Exodus 4:13-14). Pause to reckon with that for a moment. That should send a chill up your spine. God’s anger burns against those who see injustice and refuse to do anything about it.

To remedy God’s anger men must get off the sideline and confront the injustice of sex trafficking. One tangible way men can do that is to partner with GTFF. That is why GTFF created the Be A Hero campaign that values the role of men in the fight against sex trafficking. When men flourish in their God-given roles and relationships, society flourishes. If you are a man I hope you see that this is really good news. It means you don’t have to reinvent the wheel or make life-altering sacrifices to get involved. Through GTFF God is calling you to take action. Don’t sit on the sidelines any longer. God is calling you to be a hero in the fight against sex trafficking.

Your Sexual Health & Freedom is Worth the Sacrifice

May 1, 2024/in Gateway to Freedom Foundation/by Joanna

The story of Aaron Ralston is a powerful one. If you’re not familiar with Aaron’s story, he is the mountain climber who had to cut off his right arm in order to survive a climbing accident. The 2010 documentary “127 hours” tells the story of his fateful experience. He was climbing alone one day in Utah when a boulder fell and wedged his arm against the rock. After two days of being trapped by the boulder and exhausting all other ways of freeing himself, Aaron came to the devastating reality that the only way to survive was to cut off his arm. So he did.

Its a chilling story as much as it is inspirational. It begs the question, “What would you do in similar circumstances?” “Would you be able to cut off your arm in order to live?” For your sake, and the sake of your arm, I hope you’ll never have to find out. But what about other areas of your life? What about when it comes to being trapped by sin? What are you willing to do to break free? That is a much more relevant question. Consider the teaching of Jesus in Mark 9:43 & 47:

“If your hand causes you to stumble, cut it off. It is better for you to enter life maimed than with two hands to go into hell, where the fire never goes out… And if your eye causes you to stumble, pluck it out. It is better for you to enter the kingdom of God with one eye than to have two eyes and be thrown into hell.”

What Jesus is teaching is that being caught in sin is a real life or death situation, and therefore, whatever measures you need to take to break free are worth it. Yes, you might lose a hand, but you will “enter life.” Sadly, when it comes to sin, especially sexual sin, many people are unwilling to make the necessary sacrifices to break free. The truth is that breaking free from sexual sin requires sacrifice; it requires loss, surrender, giving things up, being vulnerable, dealing with past trauma, not to mention the price of time and money in counseling, support groups, and intensives. In this way breaking free from sexual sin can feel a lot like “cutting off a limb” or “plucking out an eye.” But the point of Jesus’ teaching is not about what is lost, but what is gained; and what is gained from breaking free from sexual sin is everything: you gain freedom,

purity, abundant life, peace, joy, love. You forfeit the world, but gain your soul. What Jesus is saying is that whatever sacrifice you need to make to get free from sin is more than worth it. There is nothing more valuable then walking free in Christ, “for the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Jesus our Lord” Romans 6:23.

In an interview during the release of the documentary about his experience, Aaron Ralston describes what he was thinking and feeling the moment he broke his arm to get free from the boulder. He recounts, “The snap of his bones “like, pow!” was a horrifying sound “but to me it was euphoric,” he recalls. “The detachment had already happened in my mind – it’s rubbish, it’s going to kill you, get rid of it, Aaron. It’s an ‘it’. It’s no longer my arm.” Aaron described it as “euphoric.” He was finally free. He was going to live. Aaron is still alive today. He is married and has two children. Do you think he ever regrets cutting off his arm in order to be free? The same is true of sexual sin. You will never regret the process of cutting it out of your life in order to be free. It may be initially painful. You will have to make sacrifices, but it will be worth it. It’s a euphoric experience to realize you’re no longer ensnared by sin. Christ has set you free. So, if you haven’t already, resolve in your heart and mind to today to cut the rubbish of sexual sin out of your life. It’s just a thing, it’s going to kill you. You don’t need it. There is abundant life in Christ just waiting for you.
