International Ministries Update
The photo is of a driver who was a drunkard…someone who didn’t take care of his family. He used to squander his income in a bad way. After receiving Christ, he told us there’s no other way of living than to live for God. He is happy that he can now take care of his family with the little he receives. We handed him a book The Road Home, a Bible from TFC Global. He said he would be traveling with it and making sure to read it every day. His name is Lukas. (Reported by Tunu Lamek in Kenya)
Since having the vision of putting the Southern Africa Truckers Ministry in Musina to the next level in terms of winning souls and being active, I decided to go to the Sediba truck stop. As soon as I got there, I got a phone call. Then, I went to a pastor’s office, and he wasn’t there. Tired of walking and seemingly accomplishing nothing, I went to Sanweni where I met some truckers though some of their responses to the message of the gospel was disappointing. Then, I met two truckers from Bluestar Trucking Company. First, I talked to Themba who responded very positively — so much so that he woke up his partner so that I could talk to him. We prayed together. They blessed me with a bottle of water and some money. To God be the glory — this interaction made me forget the disappointing moments of my day. In a recent conversation on WhatsApp, Igor shared about the struggle to speak with truck stop management trying to gain permission to use a room for weekly worship and devotional time. Pray for the hearts of these managers to be softened toward Igor’s desire to support the professional drivers. Pray for Igor to remain encouraged with the calling God has placed on him to minister to the trucking community.
