International Ministries Update November 2024

The African arm of TFC Global, under the direction of Adriaan Fourie, has been restructured to have two primary focus people reaching out to the trucking ministry. Ms. Tunu Lamek ministers in Kenya while Mr. Joseph Jackson serves in the Mwanza area of Tanzania. This move will allow a clean slate for ministry to happen with accountability, continued training, and guidance from our African director who himself lives in South Africa.

In the photo below, Joseph met this driver who is a very young man (boy) who needs to work to provide for his family. He was very receptive for prayer and welcomed Joseph to talk to him. This driver is a reflection of the great need for income that urges all family members to earn an income. During the past two weeks, two trips were made to minister to drivers. Of the 54 people that were reached, ten have committed their hearts to the Lord Jesus.

Sister Tunu reaches out on the Mombasa Highway where the truck traffic is constant between Nairobi and the Kenyan harbor port. The last time her team shared the gospel with thirty people, many came to know Jesus as their Savior. As a woman in Africa, Tunu faces the constant challenge where men will not listen to a woman. But God is faithful; we enjoy seeing how she perseveres in this work. Pray for a female driver who was hijacked and kidnapped recently to be released so she can return to her family.

Adriaan spoke with a former driver who lives in the port city of Durban. As a former truck driver, he understands the need to care for the trucking community. Under Adriaan’s direction, Leonard will serve those drivers in his area. Pray for this team as they encounter drivers and share the gospel with them.
